Tower Foreman

Job Title: Tower Foreman (Telecom Construction)

The Tower Foreman is responsible for leading and supervising tower crews in the installation, maintenance, and repair of telecommunications equipment. This role ensures all work is completed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with company standards and client specifications.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage a crew of tower technicians on daily job site activities
• Oversee installation of antennas, mounts, radios, coax/fiber, and other telecom equipment
• Perform and supervise tower climbing, rigging, and rescue procedures
• Ensure all work is completed in compliance with OSHA, company, and client safety standards
• Conduct daily safety briefings (JHAs) and enforce proper use of PPE
• Read and interpret construction drawings, RFDS, and site plans
• Coordinate with project managers and clients to meet project timelines
• Inspect completed work for quality control and compliance
• Maintain accurate job documentation, including daily reports and site photos
• Manage tools, equipment, and materials on-site

Qualifications:

• 3+ years of experience in telecom tower construction, with leadership experience preferred
• Proven experience climbing towers and working at heights (100–500+ ft)
• Strong knowledge of tower installation, rigging, and safety procedures
• Ability to lead a team and communicate effectively
• Experience with coax, fiber, and antenna installation
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications

Requirements:

• Ability to climb and work at heights in various weather conditions
• Capable of lifting 75–100 lbs regularly
• Valid driver’s license (CDL a plus)
• OSHA 10/30, RF Awareness, First Aid/CPR, and ComTrain or equivalent certifications preferred
• Willingness to travel as needed

Preferred Skills:

• Strong leadership and problem-solving abilities
• Experience with tower modifications and structural upgrades
• Familiarity with major carriers (AT&T, Verizon, T-Mobile, etc.)

Work Environment:

• Outdoor construction environment
• Physically demanding, including climbing, lifting, and extended periods at height
• Travel may be required based on project location
