Position Overview

The Tower Technician is responsible for the installation, maintenance, and upgrade of wireless telecommunications equipment on cellular towers and rooftops. This role requires working at heights, traveling to job sites, and following strict safety and carrier standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Climb and work on telecommunications towers up to 500+ feet
• Install, upgrade, and remove wireless equipment (antennas, RRUs, mounts, lines)
• Perform tower maintenance, troubleshooting, and inspections
• Run, dress, and secure coax, fiber, and hybrid cables
• Follow all OSHA, company, and carrier safety requirements
• Read and interpret construction drawings and scope of work
• Assist with rigging, hoisting, and material handling
• Complete required job documentation, photos, and close-out reports
• Travel regionally or nationwide as required

Required Qualifications

• Ability to climb towers and work at heights without restrictions
• Comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions
• Strong safety mindset and attention to detail
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physically demanding work
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
• Willingness to travel and work overtime as needed

Preferred Experience & Certifications

• 1+ years of tower or wireless industry experience (entry-level considered)
• OSHA 10 or OSHA 30
• RF Awareness
• First Aid / CPR
• NWSA or equivalent tower safety certification
• Experience with major carriers (Verizon, AT&T, T-Mobile, etc.)
